Robinson Township has always taken great pride in the men and women who have served our country in its times of need. Now, we invite you to help us honor your friends and family who have made such tremendous sacrifices. The Military Banner Program salutes those who are currently serving and those who have served with the creation and display of a 24″ x 36″ military banner within the Township.
Banners will feature a photo of the service member being honored, and include information about their service branch, rank, unit/division, the conflict/era in which they served, and, if applicable, any Medals of Valor and Casualty of War status indicated. In addition to the physical banners which will be displayed alongside Township roadways, honorees will also be showcased at the online Robinson Township Military Tribute. Applicants will receive two smaller lawn banners that may be used for personal display.
How to Apply
Please call Jane Tallon at (412) 788-8120 to schedule an appointment.
Please note the applicant or the service member being honored must be either a past or present resident of Robinson Township.
If you are emailing your application, please send your completed application along with scanned photo of the service member you wish to honor to Jane Tallon at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please write “Military Banner Program” on the subject line. If applicable, please include a copy of your service member’s DD-214 to verify Medals of Valor.
Photos must be scanned as .jpg (JPEG) files. Please do not e-mail a picture of a picture as mobile photos taken of the original photo will not have the necessary resolution/quality for use on the finished banner. For emailed applications, payment may be sent to the municipal office, marked ATTENTION: Military Banner Program.
If applying in person, please bring a photo of the service member you wish to honor and, if applicable, a copy of your service member’s DD-214 to verify Medals of Valor. Your photo will be scanned on site and returned to you the same day. Cash, check, and card payments will be accepted.

Banner Placement and Lawn Banner Pickup
We will endeavor to ensure that we have banners placed in the general area that the applicant requests. However, with so many families participating, we cannot guarantee any particular location.
Once received, you will be contacted to pick up your lawn banners. Banners are usually received within 45 days of submission. We will schedule installation as soon as weather permits.
If your public display banner is damaged, destroyed, or weather worn, it will be your responsibility to replace the banner if so desired. We will provide maintenance for banner brackets while on the telephone pole.
Thank you for your service!
